Elizabeth Lewis, PT
Lewis Physical Therapy, PLLC
I have been in practice for over 30 years. I treat adults with orthopedic, sports or women’s health related issues. I received my BSPT from Boston University in 1985. I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Through this Association, I became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics in 2004 and 2014 and Board Certified Women’s Health Physical Therapist in 2012. I also received a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in 2008. I also integrate body-mind awareness training and pain science for treatment of chronic pain conditions. As my client, you will receive one-on-one sessions including: comprehensive evaluations, manual (hands on) therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic modalities and education on how to improve your condition, wellness and fitness. My pelvic floor physical therapy work addresses an overactive pelvic floor, which can cause conditions involving pain constipation/retention, or under-active pelvic floor, which can cause incontinence or prolapse. I also work with visceral and abdominal conditions including DRA, postpartum. I specialize in women’s health, such as the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. I also treat men, pre and post-prostatectomy. I can treat spinal or hip dysfunction and limit my orthopedic practice to that, as it relates to prenatal, postpartum or pelvic floor issues. I was board certified as a clinical specialist in women’s health in 2012 and in orthopedics and 2004 and 2014. I am also certified in pelvic health, cold laser therapy and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.
