Heather Law, PT, DPT, ATC, PN1 Laws of Motion PT
Heather first became interested in becoming a healthcare provider after undergoing multiple medical procedures in high school and experiencing first-hand what an impact it made working with healthcare workers who treated it as a job versus those who had a passion to really help their patients. Since then, Heather was driven to become a lifelong learner and dedicated to providing exceptional care that meets her client’s individual needs. She takes a whole body approach to provide answers and care to every client no matter how complicated their dysfunction is and wants all of her clients to live their most optimal life. Heather grew up in Colleyville, Texas and attended The University of Texas at Arlington where she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in May 2013. She then attended UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she graduated with honors with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. Throughout PT school Heather worked as a contract Athletic trainer providing medical coverage for various athletes and sports throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Following PT school, Heather began her career in an Orthopedic/Sports Medicine private practice called Ideal Physical Therapy/ATI. This is where she first met her husband Greg who persuaded her to move to Arizona. After two years with Ideal/ATI, Heather began working at Barrow Brain and Spine in 2017. Over the next 5 years she gained experience working primarily with patients with spine disorders, neurosurgical patients, and patients with chronic pain. After having her daughter Harper in July 2020, Heather became aware of lack of prenatal and postpartum care and the effect it had on her own body. This began a passion to pursue training in pelvic health physical therapy that grew even further after having her son in April 2022. So much attention is given to making sure the baby is well looked after that the mom is often overlooked. Heather wants to change that and ensure that moms are able to enjoy every moment with their baby without being burdened by pain and injury. Heather has additional training in Trigger point Dry Needling from Spinal Manipulative Institute and Evidence in Motion, Visceral and Neural manipulation from The Barral Institute, Functional Manual Therapy from the Institute of Physical Art, Pelvic Health via Herman and Wallace, as well as various other institutes as Heather enjoys attending at least 4 continuing education courses per year. Heather also has her nutrition certification through Precision Nutrition and developed a passion about learning the benefits of healing through nutrition and lifestyle change as this has made a significant impact in her health over the last few years. Heather looks forward to working with you to fill in the missing pieces to your health and recovery so you can reach your untapped potential.
