Dr. Ashlie Emert, DPT completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in NYC and earned her master's in Sports Nutrition from the L’ Universita’ degli Studi di Milano (University of Milan). She holds dual specializations in both orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy. She also holds an advanced certification in Obstetric (pregnancy and postpartum) physical therapy. In addition, she is also a certified yoga teacher and blends her distinctive background to offer holistic and individualized care. Her treatment plans are uniquely designed to address the root cause of your issue and will address your specific needs and goals. Her treatments involve utilizing a blend of hands-on therapy, strength and mobility exercises, mindfulness practices and yoga. She is particularly drawn to working with women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, runners and yogis. She also loves helping women learn to get strong with strength training. Many healthcare providers and women do not realize that issues that start during or after pregnancy can continue for decades if not the rest of a woman’s life if proper treatment is not given. She wants you to know that it is not too late to see progress, even if you are 30 years postpartum. She aims to provide compassionate, comprehensive and thoughtful care. Ashlie will help you feel prepared and empowered to live a life you love and help you return to being your strongest, most resilient self.
