Aparna Kuvalekar, PT, DPT PelviCore Physical Therapy
Aparna received her Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy from Sancheti Institute College of Physiotherapy, Pune, India and graduated with a Master’s degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University. She furthered her education by completing Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Montana. Aparna has 18 years of experience practicing as a PT. She has done extensive coursework through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is also certified in MELT and trained in Pilates. While working with chronic pain patients, she discovered her passion for pelvic floor dysfunctions. Furthermore, after her 2nd pregnancy she herself underwent pelvic floor issues and as a result understood the impact it can have on one’s quality of life. This experience underscored the significant gap in addressing pelvic floor dysfunctions within the medical system, highlighting the need for improved pelvic care. Aparna is always striving for excellence and focuses on an evidence-based practice. She firmly believes that continuing her education and staying updated on new treatments and technologies is essential in maintaining a methodical approach. She has a holistic approach and she is always mindful of the mind body connection. As a PT, she is passionate about partnering with her patients while helping them alleviate their pain, improving their quality of life, and facilitating their return to their cherished activities. Conditions treated - Infertility, endometriosis, pregnancy, postpartum recovery and rehabilitation, DR, post surgical pain, Urinary incontinence, prolapse, IC, pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, constipation, testicular pain, bowel dysfunction, bladder pain syndrome, OAB and pediatric patients with bowel and bladder dysfunction. When she is not helping her patients, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She is also a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga. In her free time she enjoys hiking, meditation, reading and travelling.
