Hi, I’m Katie, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist with advanced training in pelvic health. I specialize in treating pelvic floor and pelvic girdle conditions, with a strong emphasis on whole-body mechanics, sensory processing across somatosensory, visual, and vestibular systems, and individualized care to optimize performance and address all underlying factors. I treat conditions including pelvic girdle pain, dyspareunia, vulvodynia, endometriosis and fibroid management, urinary incontinence (stress, urge, and mixed), overactive bladder, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, and scar tissue restrictions following abdominal or pelvic surgeries, hysterectomy, and post-partum recovery. I have a special passion for working with pregnant and postpartum women and supporting them through some of the most meaningful and transformative seasons of their lives. My priority is to help patients feel as comfortable, confident, and supported as possible so they can fully appreciate their bodies, their families/friends, and their new little one. I design treatment plans and home programs that are realistic and manageable for busy schedules, offering practical strategies and easy-to-implement tips that fit seamlessly into daily life. Understanding the challenges of limited childcare, I also welcome postpartum parents to bring their baby to sessions when needed—allowing us to practice real-life lifting, carrying, and movement strategies that promote healthy mechanics and reduce the risk of injury in everyday activities and new childcare tasks. With dual specialties in orthopedics and pelvic health, I take a comprehensive approach to care—connecting the dots across the entire kinetic chain through detailed evaluation and observation. By addressing both top-down influences (breathing, posture, core and hip function) and bottom-up contributors (foot posture and stability), I ensure that no piece of the puzzle is overlooked. I also integrate advanced technology sensory performance testing which breaks down somatosensory, visual, and vestibular processing to understand how the brain and body are integrating sensory information. Lifelong learning is central to my practice, and I’m passionate about helping patients optimize function, reduce pain, and confidently return to what matters most to them through compassionate, evidence-based care. Outside of the clinic, I live what I teach. I love staying active—walking and biking around the city whenever Chicago weather allows—spending time outdoors, and tending to my ever-growing plant collection. I also DJ house music for fun and believe dancing is one of the purest celebrations of movement and life. This belief is at the core of why I became a physical therapist: movement is medicine for both the body and the soul, and I love helping people get back to doing what they love.
