Jill Newcomb-Campanelli PT, CLT, CI, CAPP-OB (She/Her) WellWomanPT
I founded WellWomanPT online in 2020 when childbirth preparation services were shut down during the Covid-19 pandemic. Women needed pelvic health and birth prep care and it was a way to help my community. Since then, I now offer concierge women's pelvic health, with in the clinic, at home, and through telehealth. I have over 30 years of experience, 25 in prenatal and women’s pelvic health physical therapy as well as over 15 years of prenatal exercise instruction. I love to provide preventative prenatal care to help reduce cesarean risk and pelvic floor dysfunctions postpartum. I also love to provide pelvic physical therapy treatment pelvic pain, post-caesarean care, and release scar tissue with myofascial and visceral facial mobilization. Common diagnosis I see are caesarean, obstetric injuries and tears, pelvic girdle pain (sacroiliac/pubic symphysis dysfunction), diastasis rectus abdominus, hip pain/sciatica, bladder urgency, frequency, interstitial cystitis (painful bladder), irritable bowel syndrome, endometriosis, andomyosis, PCOS, constipation, dyspareunia, vulvodynia, vestibulodynia, and vaginismus. I was awarded the CAPP-OB (certificate of achievement in pre/postpartum PT) by the APTA in 2022, have been an obstetric PT since 1997, and completed the full pelvic series ( P1 through Cappstone ) through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute since 2017. I am also trained in visceral fascial mobilization for the urinary, gastrointestinal and reproductive systems to help with scar tissue, fertility and pelvic pain. As owner and practitioner in my practice, I can provide high quality hour long 1:1 hour long thorough, holistic therapy so my patients get better, faster. I tailor therapy towards an individual’s goals and to prevent future problems for their health as well as their families’. I enjoy educating, teaching and instilling empowerment in clients’ essential lifelong tools with ultimate goal of independence in control over their pelvic health. My passion is to promote women's health so they can continue to lead an active joy-filled lifestyle where ever they are in their lifespan. My interest and working in areas of women's pelvic health began and grew after attending one of my first post- professional course out of PT school; Physical Therapy for Women Though Out The Life Cycle, by Herman Hollis PT in Boston MA in 1994. In 1997 I took Prenatal and Postpartum Instructor Training by Elizabeth Nobel PT, founder of the APTA Women’s Health section, and provided pelvic health education for 10 years at the local birth center. It was at these early courses that I became aware of the inadequacies of care that women have in the USA compared to other countries. Personally, I was fortunate as a young woman to have this knowledge in my 20's, even before the birth of my own two children, and was able to address and solve my own pelvic health concerns perinatally and postpartum. I wanted other women to have this same opportunity to have this essential pelvic knowledge and care. Since opening WellWomanPT in GA in 2020, I can now help restore women’s hope, give relief and find solutions and excitement again to return to all the activities that they love. Licensed in GA and MA, online, home and clinic care. If you are a woman or therapist who aligns themselves in these same values, you found the right therapist and place to grow.
