Aly Spear, PT, DPT, OCS
Aspen Valley Hospital
Aly graduated from Pacific University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Aly is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She takes a comprehensive treatment approach, combining her background in orthopedics and manual therapy, with education to empower patients on managing their own pain. She has completed most of her orthopedic training through the IAOM-US (International Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy), and MDT Institute (the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis). Aly decided to specialize in Pelvic Health after hearing the tremendous impact her fellow physical therapists were making with their patients, as well as witnessing her family members and friends struggle post-partum and with pelvic pain. As a lifelong learner, Aly has put in countless hours and taken many classes to become proficient in treating the pelvic floor. She has grown to love treating post-partum patients and urinary and fecal incontinence. Additionally, as someone who has struggled with pelvic pain she is able to empathize with her patients and provide further insight into treatment she has found invaluable. Aly believes strongly in the power of education and loves that our profession is given the time to provide it to our patients. Aly is a former college athlete and enjoys most outdoor activities, from hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing to tennis, biking, soccer and running. She also loves spending time with her six nieces and nephews and family.
