Hi! I’m Amanda Cereijo, Doctor of Physical Therapy and proud co-founder of Freya Wellness Co. From early on in my career as a physical therapist I knew that women's care was where I wanted to be. After graduating from PT school, I sought to gain experience across various settings to become a well-rounded physical therapist and confirm my passion for women's health. I worked in inpatient rehabs, acute hospitals, and outpatient ortho. During my first pregnancy, I experienced pelvic floor physical therapy as a patient. This firsthand experience demonstrated to me the impact of our work. Then postpartum recovery...wow...that solidified my desire to provide better care for women. I then began working as a pelvic floor physical therapist for prenatal and postpartum women, and I loved it. However, I soon recognized gaps in care for women at different life stages. What about the woman who is leaking but hasn't been pregnant? Or the woman navigating perimenopause, seeking guidance on gaining muscle mass and strengthening safely? I wanted to be a resource for all women, regardless of their life phase. With this vision, Freya Wellness Co. was born where we treat women at all stages of life with the goal of building strong, healthy bodies.
