Amanda Haasken, PT, PRPC LewisGale Hospital Montgomery Outpatient Therapy Clinic
Martha Amanda Haasken, PT, PRPC has been practicing PT since 1996, specializing in pelvic therapy since 2016, treating people of all genders. She has completed the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Series including Capstone, and has served as a Teaching Assistant for each of these courses to share knowledge of treating a full complement of abdominopelvic conditions. She completed her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) in 2018 through Herman & Wallace, which is a certification recognizing expertise in Pelvic Health. Completion of the Fascial Based Treatment for Pelvic Dysfunction Series, in addition to other specialized coursework, has given her a passion for manual and movement based treatment approaches to conditions including: Urinary issues of Incontinence, Urgency, Retention; Bowel issues of Constipation, Urgency, Incontinence; Pelvic Organ Prolapse; Pelvic Pain including with intercourse or tampon insertion; Endometriosis; Interstitial Cystitis/ PBS; Prostatitis and Male Pelvic Pain; Post-surgical/ radiation pain and restriction including Pre and Post-Prostatectomy; Gender Affirmation Care; Pregnancy and Post-Partum issues including Diastasis Rectus Abdominus; Sacral/ Tailbone pain; Abdominal fascial restrictions of the GI, Urinary and Reproductive systems. Special consideration is given to fascial system mobility, particularly through the Reproductive, Urinary and GI Systems, and as it affects respiratory function. Amanda is honored to serve the population of the New River Valley through compassionate care, spending 60-80 minutes one-on-one with each patient, and continues to strive to keep up to date with current therapies and best practices for her patients.
