Amanda Heritage, PT, DPT , PRCP is a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic therapy for female-related care and women's pelvic health. She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Richard Stockton University in 2011. She is certified Pilates instructor, Exercise Trainer for Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) I, Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) I-II, and comprehensively trained in vestibular rehabilitation. She has a diverse treatment background including orthopedic, pelvic health, and adolescent populations. Dr. Amanda is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), presented wellness based research at multiple APTA conferences, and is a published author in a peer-reviewed online journal. As a former dancer, Dr. Amanda experienced rehabilitative Pilates at a young age and found it was the only way to properly organize and train her body through chronic injuries. With over eight years of Pilates experience, she understands how unique Pilates principles of fluid movements and precise stability training are essential to address movement dysfunction and optimize patient quality of life as a whole. With her passion for comprehensive rehabilitation and love of Pilates, she is excited to teach and share the benefits of Pilates-based physical therapy with patients and clients. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking healthy meals, and gardening with her wonderful husband.
