Dr. Bijal Toprani, PT, DPT earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in Arizona and her Bachelors degree in Sociology from UCLA. Dr. Toprani has attended Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation training courses through the renowned Herman and Wallace Institute. Dr. Toprani is currently working towards achieving the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification through Herman & Wallace Institute. Dr. Toprani is passionate about pelvic health/pelvic rehab. She treats a diverse population of individuals with varying diagnoses including: urinary incontinence, urinary urgency, pain with defecation or defection dysfunctions including chronic constipation or diarrhea, vaginismus, dyspareunia (pain with intercourse or gynecologic examination), chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, interstitial cystitis, pudendal neuralgia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, post surgical, labor/delivery preparation, musculoskeletal changes or pain due to pregnancy, and post-partum impairments (low back pain, Episiotomy Pain/Post-Vaginal Tearing, or Diastasis Recti Abdominus). Dr. Toprani's goal is to find the primary driver of her patient's pain or dysfunction, educate her patients to create autonomy and foster self-advocacy, and aid to create an interdisciplinary team (if needed) to optimize health and movement for her patients so each individual can live a healthy lifestyle.
