Hi! I'm Blair Evanosky. I am a mom, wife and physical therapist. I grew up as an athlete playing multiple sports and having multiple sports related injuries. These injuries led me to the field of physical therapy. I completed my bachelors degree in exercise physiology in 2006 from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and my doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2009 from Franklin Pierce University. I spent my first years working at and then managing an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. I then became pregnant and realized how few resources there were for the pregnant person in terms of exercising safely and reducing aches and pain throughout pregnancy. I was a physical therapist, I should know all of these things, I should have been trained in all of this, but I wasn't. I then became postpartum and felt as though I had no resources to help me. Complicating the lack of resources I also felt a huge shift of attention. When I was pregnant everyone was asking how I was after having the baby everyone was asking how the baby was. I had one doctors appointment 6 weeks after giving birth, my baby had 7 well visits the first year. I was all but forgotten about. My birth hadn't gone as planned and my recovery was far from perfect. I started in the field of women's health selfishly. I needed to heal and I needed to feel strong again. My personal journey led me to this wonderful ability to care for pregnant and postpartum persons the way they should be cared for. My unique background with over 10 years of orthopedic experience and my passion for pelvic floor therapy fit perfectly to help pregnant and postpartum moms. I have taken extensive post-graduate education to further my knowledge. I am a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. I have studied with Herman & Wallace, Dr. Sarah Duvall, Julie Weibe, Lynn Schlute and the Institute for Birth Healing. I am also dry needling certified, Graston (IASTM) certified and trained in vestibular treatments. When I'm not working you can find me at a local park or farm with my kids, trying a new beer at a local brewery with my husband or spending time outdoors, usually riding my bicycle or hiking.
