I have been a physical therapist for 15 years, dedicating my career to learning and providing advanced therapy techniques and hands-on skills to my patients. My clinical passions include treating individuals with orthopedic and pelvic health conditions with a holistic, patient-centered approach. Advanced Training: Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) (2018) : A title achieved by less than 6% of physical therapists in the U.S Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) with Honors (2019): This certification required years of learning and mastering hands-on treatment techniques and passing a week-long intensive exam. Only eight physical therapists in North Carolina have earned their CFMT. Advanced training in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Evidence in Motion Advanced training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Pelvic Global Academy, and Julie Wiebe, PT Education: Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science-University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2004) Master of Physical Therapy-University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2007) First candidate to graduate from Georgetown University Hospital’s Orthopedic/Manual Therapy Residency Program in Washington, DC (2011) My personal passions include being active through Crossfit and Olympic weight lifting, hiking, and yoga. I’m on a quest to hike in every National Park. I have an artistic and creative side, designing art projects using calligraphy, hand-lettering, and paint. My favorite days include cooking and dancing with other joyful humans, especially my nieces and nephew.
