Chelsea Needham PT, DPT Eagle Center Physical Therapy
Chelsea was born and raised in a suburb of Buffalo, New York. She then attended Siena College in Albany, NY. Her most memorable moments from college were being a member of the cross country team and studying abroad for a semester in Ecuador. After graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Siena, she moved back home. She attended physical therapy school at Daemen College, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. After graduating, Chelsea worked at a hospital in Buffalo before beginning her journey as a travel PT with her best friend and fellow ECPT therapist, Elysia. In January of 2019, Chelsea and Elysia started their first travel PT assignment in Indianola, Mississippi. After 15 weeks, Chelsea and Elysia headed to their 2nd travel PT assignment in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where they spent ten months. In February of 2020, they made the journey to Alaska for a travel contract, but fell in love with Alaska's beauty and decided to stay. In May of 2020, Chelsea and Elysia accepted jobs here at ECPT! When she's not in the clinic, Chelsea loves to spend time outdoors, running, hiking, or biking. Chelsea ran her first marathon in Las Vegas in November of 2019, and plans to run many more soon! Chelsea also considers herself a "wanderluster." Her favorite time in her life has been traveling around the country with her best friend, Elysia. Some of Chelsea's favorite places she has visited are Arches National Park in Utah, Lake Powell in Page, AZ, and Eklutna Lake right here in Alaska! Chelsea is a pelvic floor physical therapy specialist, educated through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Chelsea has completed Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Level 2A courses.
