Dr. Janine Bobby received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she was a personal trainer, registered yoga instructor, and a medic in the Air National Guard for 6 years. Pelvic Floor post-doctoral education includes courses through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in both internal and external treatment of pelvic floor, pelvic girdle, and abdominal wall dysfunctions in pregnancy, postpartum, and the general adult lifespan. Dr. Janine has also taken pelvic coursework with renowned pelvic floor physical therapists Dr. Nicole Cozean and Michelle Lyons. Her practice caters specifically to women, and Dr. Janine often draws from her therapeutic yoga background when creating treatment plans as it complements the mind-body connection required for building better pelvic health. Dr. Janine has a mission to normalize early Cesarean and vaginal birth rehab as part of women’s healthcare, as it could prevent so many pelvic floor conditions over a woman’s lifetime, and even prevent falls and death in older adult women that are related to urinary urgency and incontinence-related urinary tract infections. She experienced chronic pelvic pain herself in 2015, developed a bladder prolapse from military training and a high impact lifestyle, and now as a new mom via Cesarean birth, can relate to many of her patients, and is committed to helping them overcome their pelvic challenges!
