Dr. Sam Parkhurst, PT, DPT The Educated Pelvis
My main goal as a PT is to increase pelvic floor knowledge in the community as a whole so that more people can live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives without feeling trapped by pelvic dysfunction. I share my knowledge with patients to help them feel empowered, supported and confident in knowing that they have the tools to heal and that I am here to guide them along the way. I currently treat adult vulva owners and children with pelvic dysfunction and provide strengthening during pregnancy & postpartum recovery. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and making memories with my family and friends, relaxing with yoga and running, nurturing our garden and landscaping and reading to expand my knowledge and growth mindset. Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree - Wake Forest University 2003, Doctor of Physical Therapy Graduate Degree - Boston University 2009, Pelvic Specific Courses/Training - Certified in APTA Pelvic Health Courses: Physical Therapy Level 1, 2PP, 2BD, and 3; Fundamental Topics of Pregnancy and Postpartum; and Tackling Sacroiliac and Pelvic Girdle Dysfunction.
