Emily Block, PT, MS Synergy Physical Therapy
Emily is an experienced pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapist having practiced for over 20 years across five different states treating patients with complex orthopedic, neurologic and pelvic floor related conditions, sports related injuries, and post-surgical needs. Emily received her BA in Biology from St. Olaf College and Masters of Physical Therapy from Mayo Graduate School of Health Sciences. Emily’s expertise and passion lie at the intersection of orthopedics and pelvic physical therapy with advanced training in treating pelvic pain and musculoskeletal impairments. Emily approaches each patient through the lens of the Integrated Systems Model evaluating from head to toe no matter where the injury/pain is located. Emily is a trained pelvic floor therapist through both Hermann & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Training and the American Physical Therapy CAPP program. Emily has extensive experience in treating all gender patients with pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction including incontinence or patients that are perinatal, postpartum and attempting to return to sport. Emily utilizes a myriad of manual treatment techniques in her practice from visceral mobilization to being a certified functional dry needling and pelvic floor practitioner and offers her patients tailored exercise programs toward their goals. As a multi-sport enthusiast and musician, Emily is passionate about helping others stay active and reach their goals. Emily is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and International Pelvic Pain Society.
