Karolina earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2014. Karolina has worked in a variety of settings and patient populations including: developmental delay, post surgical cardiac patients, traumatic brain injury, stroke, organ transplant, multiple organ system failure, cancer, limb amputation, poly-trauma, neurodegenerative conditions, but her passion is working in women's health and wellness. Karolina has always been focused on living an active and healthy lifestyle. After the birth of her daughter she learned a great deal about pelvic floor physical therapy, a topic that was briefly discussed while in graduate school. As she progressed herself through her own rehabilitation, she realized this underserved population and specialty was something she would like to combine with her health and wellness background in order to help women struggling with pelvic health issues. Karolina started Complete Balance PT: Women's Pelvic Health & Wellness to serve women in the San Antonio area, but business ownership took her time away from her daughter and not wanting to miss out on that precious time, she stepped away from the clinic and accepted a virtual role to help with development of the Pelvic Health Program at American Specialty Health. Karolina was personal trainer before becoming a physical therapist. She completed her TRX suspension Training Certification in 2009 and has been a faithful user of the training system. Many of her preventative and corrective movement programs involve using the TRX system for progressions, as it is safe for use by all fitness levels from the beginner to the advanced athlete.
