Katherine Dahl, PT, MPT, CD(DONA)
Comprehensive Therapy Services at Gaspar PT Torrey Highlands

858-457-8419
13350 Camino Del Sur Ste 1 San Diego, California 92129
Katherine has an MPT in Physical Therapy (Rutgers University-Camden/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, 1995) and a BS in Exercise Science (Brigham Young University, 1993, with minors in Modern Dance and Psychology) and is a Certified Birth Doula (DONA International, 2009). Katherine has been part of the pelvic health physical therapy team at CTS since 2010. She treats all forms of urinary, bowel, and sexual dysfunction for women, men, and children, as well as pelvic pain. She is a certified birth doula who has attended over 25 births, which has enhanced her understanding of musculoskeletal and pelvic floor issues related to childbirth. Katherine has studied visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute and craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute, and has started her transitional DPT degree at Arcadia University. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, APTA’s Academy of Pelvic Health, and DONA International. Katherine particularly enjoys helping patients understand the essential role of hip rotation control and intraabdominal pressure control in ameliorating the underlying causes of their symptoms. She also has niche interests in the voice/pelvic floor connection, the application of modern dance techniques to improve lower extremity alignment and motor control, foot core/intrinsic foot muscles, and developmental biomechanics. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, directing the drama club at her local middle school, and spending time with her husband and four awesome daughters.
