Katie Segner PT, DPT SALT Wellness + Sports Recovery
PT background: Hi my name is Katie Segner and I have been a Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy for the past 9+ years and specialized in pelvic floor and women’s health PT for the last 6 years. Prior to developing my passion for pelvic floor PT and carving out my niche, I also treated patients with neurological diagnoses, specializing in Parkinson’s rehab with my LSVT BIG certification as well as stroke rehab, balance training and fall prevention. I also have years of orthopedic experience with specifically spine, hip and knee rehab, especially post surgical PT. For the first 9 years of my career I have worked in a multidisciplinary, hospital based outpatient rehab clinic. However, in efforts of allowing my work schedule to have more freedom to accommodate my children, in October of 2025, I took a leap of faith and opened my own pelvic health private practice clinic as Owner and Manager of Mama to the Core, LLC, partnered with SALT Wellness + Sports Recovery, in Kerrville, TX. As a mom of three littles, I am passionate about prenatal and postpartum rehab, but I truly love treating women of all ages and seasons of life. I enjoy educating my patients on mindful movement to help restore their core and pelvic floor and improve their confidence and quality of life. I’m experienced in treating the following pelvic health conditions: •urinary incontinence •fecal incontinence •constipation •vaginismus •dyspareunia/ pelvic pain with sex •pelvic pain •low back pain •sacroiliac joint pain •pubic symphysis dysfunction •(DRA) diastasis rectus abdominis •pelvic organ prolapse •core weakness •prenatal rehab-preparation for labor and delivery •return to running training postpartum •perineal tear scar massage Professional & Personal Background: I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2013 with a double major in Animal Science and Kinesiology and then pursued my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I graduated with my Clinical Doctorate in 2016. In 2020 I became a Certified mat Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body and I currently teach group mat pilates classes at SALT Wellness + Sports Recovery where I also practice physical therapy. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters and one precious son. Motherhood is my most cherished role, although I am very passionate about my career as a PT as well. Running is another passion of mine and you will find me racing in 5K’s, 10K’s and half marathons all over the TX Hill Country. My goal for you is to feel comfortable and confident enough to enjoy your hobbies and live your best life, free of pelvic floor dysfunction. --Mama to the Core
