With over two decades of experience as a pelvic floor therapist, I embarked on my journey in pelvic floor physical therapy 20 years ago, when this specialty was still in its formative years. Witnessing the exponential growth of this specialty, and an increase in our knowledge of the pelvic floor and its vital functions, has been gratifying. For two decades, I have enjoyed every minute of pelvic floor work. As a board-certified women’s health specialist (WCS), I have actively contributed to advancing pelvic floor work. My involvement as an item writer and reviewer for the pelvic rehab certification exam (PRPC) for Hermann and Wallace, has allowed me to earn the PRPC certification. I am also a certified pregnancy and post-partum exercise coach (CPPC). I take a holistic approach to pelvic floor dysfunction and sexual pain. I treat the source of the pain and not just the symptoms. Drawing from years of clinical practice, teaching, and continous learning, I have developed my own unique approach to pelvic pain and sexual pain that is deeply rooted in the theories of motor control and central nervous system modulation. I treat with passion and intent, and my goal is to provide each patient comprehensive rehab of the pelvic floor.
