Lori graduated from Springfield College in 1994 with Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. As a teen, I knew a career in PT would provide lots of time to get to know my patients, helping people overcome physical and emotional challenges. Throughout my career, I gravitated toward Pelvic Health after working with athletes at Duke University Sports Medicine and WFU orthopedics studying Postural Restoration and the importance of the pelvic girdle with all movement. In 2004, we experienced pelvic health first hand with the birth of my son, where I researched ways to improve recovery from the pregnancy/postpartum process. Diving into pelvic health with a personal agenda led to all the answers I had been looking for as an orthopedic PT. Since 2004, I have worked 100% with abdominopelvic health completing the advanced certification through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Institute, APTA Pregnancy/Postpartum coursework, and currently I am working toward certification with the Institute for Birth Healing with Lynn Shulte. In 2013, I have been intimately involved with building the Novant Health Pelvic Health center to create a team of pelvic health specialists urogynecologist, gynecologists/obstetricians, urologist, digestive health physicians along side a team of expert Pelvic PTs. I truly believe that improving abdominopelvic health is the foundation of true wellness, and our team would love to help you improve your whole self. We treat women, men, teens at our clinic with a holistic approach and personal attention. Please call if you have any questions.
