My professional experience includes 30 years providing care in a variety of inpatient rehab and outpatient settings. I received my Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 1992 and my Doctorate from Boston University in 2005. Currently I am the owner of Evolution Medical Associates, LLC, a small internal medicine and manual therapy clinic in Clearwater, FL that maintains an integrative practice of internal medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lactation consulting, and acupuncture. In the past twenty years I have become more specialized in women’s health areas including bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction as well as post-breast cancer lymphedema, prenatal and postpartum care, and infertility. In 2014, I co-founded the Pelvic Health Research Initiative, a non-profit organization established to support research in pelvic health, and currently serve as this organization’s president. I am a nationally certified lymphedema therapist and have extensive training in visceral manipulation, myofascial release, and multiple other manual techniques. Additionally, I have a certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging. My interest in infertility began about 20 years ago when working with women with visceral fascial restrictions who incidentally also had fertility issues. Anecdotally, I was noticing a significant amount of success. In 2012, I published a case series report in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association on manual therapy techniques for the treatment of infertility. This lead to the development of a multi-site pilot study focused on manual therapy for women’s infertility. In order to train other therapists in the infertility protocol, I have developed my continuing education courses to teach Lymph Drainage and Vascular Release for the Pelvic PT, and am also a teaching assistant for Barral Institute, Chikly Institute, and Herman & Wallace.
