Dr. Maureen O’Keefe, DPT is an experienced pelvic health physical therapist specialist, serving Grand Rapids, the West Michigan region and beyond with remote consultations. Dr. O’Keefe offers more than 20 years’ experience in pelvic floor physical therapy that is a culmination of broad post-graduate education specific to treating conditions related to pelvic health, sexual pain, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, complex pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and male pelvic health. Dr. O'Keefe's treatments for pelvic floor physical therapy help adults resolve pain, recover their pelvic floor strength & coordination and improve core muscles and avoid surgery. This includes for people who have pelvic pain, bladder issues, bowel disorders, traumatic birth injuries, complex pelvic pain, dyspareunia and back conditions. Participation in professional societies and treating individuals with challenging pelvic problems informs the advanced therapeutic techniques that Dr. O'Keefe provides her patients. She provides advanced manual therapy treatments, myofascial release, trigger point dry needling, neural calming, heart rate variability coherence biofeedback, strengthening, therapeutic exercise, visceral and scar mobilization and coordination exercises for the pelvic floor, core and breathing.
