Meg Henderson, PT, DPT 4th Trimester
Called to the coast, Meg moved from her hometown of Annapolis, MD, to Charleston after getting married and graduating from the Physical Therapy program at Marymount University. As a competitive collegiate athlete, she coped with a variety of “over-use” injuries that fueled her desire to become a physical therapist. Although the original plan was to pursue medical school after graduation, Meg realized she wanted a stronger connection with her patients and was drawn to impacting lives through regained mobility and reclaimed active lifestyles. With a renewed vision and refreshed passion, Meg joined Made2Move, a private-pay physical therapy, rehab and performance center in 2017 launching its Mount Pleasant location. In 2018, she embarked on both a personal and professional mission to challenge the statute of limitations on postpartum recovery and help women reconnect with, strengthen and heal their bodies. Beginning with continued education and honing her expertise, Meg is actively working towards the the Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB) from the American Physical Therapy Association. In Spring 2019, she launched 4th Trimester, the Lowcountry’s only private-pay physical-therapy program and education initiative dedicated to prenatal and postpartum women. No longer burdened by 3rd-party-payers dictating treatment, Meg is on a mission to do whatever needs to be done to help women hone their healthiest bodies during pregnancy, postpartum and in the years beyond. Motivated by what works, Meg is all about helping moms like you find a path to health and wellness.
