Melanie Abbott, PT, DPT
Empassion Pelvic Health
I graduate with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from East Tennessee State University and my BS in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. I received my post doctoral training in pelvic health rehab from the Herman and Wallace Institute for Pelvic Rehabilitation, as well as other extensive pelvic health training. I have also received extensive orthopedic training through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments. I have 9+ years experience working intensely in the specialty of pelvic health rehabilitation and am passionate about improving health care options for both women and men in this area. I focus on finding the root cause of what is happening instead of just treating symptoms. I have extensive training and experience in treating pelvic health conditions across the lifespan including: pregnancy, postpartum, orthopedic conditions (with specialty in hip/back), chronic/complex pain (pelvic and otherwise), colorectal, urogynecological dysfunctions and auto-immune disease.
