Michelle Broughton PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert-MDT, PRPC
Brighter Day Physical Therapy & Wellness
She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007 and holds the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC), reflecting her advanced training and expertise in pelvic rehabilitation. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where every person feels heard, respected, and comfortable discussing concerns that can sometimes be difficult or embarrassing to talk about. She provides pelvic floor therapy for people of all genders, gender expressions, and ages. She treats a wide range of pelvic and abdominal concerns, including pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, post-prostatectomy and post-surgical care, urinary and bowel dysfunction, vaginismus, vulvodynia, and dyspareunia. She has pursued advanced training in endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, abdominal and visceral therapy, and sexual medicine in pelvic rehabilitation. Her goal is not simply to treat a diagnosis, but to understand each person's unique experience and help them feel more comfortable, confident, and in control of their body. Pregnancy and postpartum care are especially meaningful to her. Having personally experienced pregnancy and postpartum recovery four times, she understands how much these physical and emotional changes can affect daily life. She is passionate about supporting and advocating for individuals throughout pregnancy and the postpartum journey. Her experience extends beyond pelvic health. She is McKenzie-certified with extensive experience treating back and neck pain, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and has extensive experience in vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness and balance disorders. Above all, she believes everyone deserves compassionate, individualized care. Whether you are seeking help for a long-standing concern, recovering from surgery or childbirth, or simply want to better understand your body, you can expect to be welcomed, listened to, and treated with dignity every step of the way.
