Naja Chikazunga-Martin brings a high level of energy and personality to the women, men, transgender and youth she serves. Naja was born in New York City and raised in Long Island, New York. She earned her doctorate in physical therapy with training in health promotion and complimentary alternative medicine (CAM) from Simmons College in 2014 after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 from Florida A& M University. Currently, she is completing and will earn a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from LSU -Shreveport in Fall 2023. She has worked in a multitude of settings (Outpatient, Acute-care, Inpatient-Rehab, Long-Term Acute Care Settings, and Short-term rehabilitation). After several years of watching women not always achieve the functional potential in physical rehab, Naja shifted her career focus. In 2013, Naja began her mission to help women with their gender-specific health issues. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014 from Simmons College and followed her passion- Pelvic Health physical therapy. Naja’s passion for Pelvic Health physical therapy has gained her national recognition as a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC). Naja is advanced trained in Neural Manipulation Techniques, Visceral Manipulation Techniques, Orthopedics, Myofascial Release Techniques, CranioSacral Therapy Techniques, Lymphatic Drainage Techniques, and Lifestyle Medicine applications. Naja relies on this holistic alliance as a catalyst, evoking the mind-body-spirit to feel and function in better health and wellness. Naja’s integrative approach enables her to provide exceptional support for her clients on their healthy living journey. Diagnosis and symptoms treated include (but not limited to) diastasis recti (DRA), pelvic pain, low back pain, endometriosis, prenatal pain, low back pain, post-partum muscle weakness, pain during/post sexual intercourse, incontinence, constipation, IBS, headaches, SI joint dysfunction, hip pain, knee pain, digestive issues, vaginismus, testicular pain, vulvar pain, neck pain, erectile dysfunction, postprostatectomy issues, enuresis, low-libido, and post abdominal surgery issues.
