Dr. Rachel has been in practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for nine years. Her career has taken her across the country, working in many Physical Therapy settings. She discovered her true calling in the Physical Therapy field when she began to study and treat Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunctions (TMJ), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (Including HSD and hEDS) and Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions. Treatment of these conditions are highly specialized and have required Dr. Rachel to undertake significant additional training. Although it may appear that these conditions are not related, the opposite is in fact true! This does not imply that having one condition automatically means having the others, but there is a frequent overlap among these conditions. Dr. Rachel’s practice is rooted in creativity and discovery. As her patients will attest, her treatment methods frequently involve novel and inventive solutions to alleviate pain, enhance mobility and resolve various issues. Dr. Rachel is passionate about identifying the underlying cause of an individual’s complaints. She views the body as an integrated whole, acknowledging the interconnectedness within the body. This often means that one’s complaints manifest in more than one isolated location. She works hard to discover, treat and empower her patients to manage their body as a whole. When she isn’t working, you can find her making ceramics in her home studio, making music with her husband Derek, or exploring the PNW with her dog River.
