Rashmi Bandekar is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has been practicing since 2013. She is an Orthopedic and Pelvic Health Physical Therapist here at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. She received her B.S. in Human Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and her graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Rashmi also graduated from the Orthopedic Residency Specialty program at Kaiser Permanente Southern California which helped her achieve the Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She trained with the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute for the treatment of pelvic health problems such as incontinence, bowel dysfunction, pregnancy-related problems, pelvic pain and has been practicing Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for 9 years. Her goal as a physical therapist is to provide compassionate treatment to patients struggling with pain and/or immobility. She hopes to help patients rehabilitate with ease with the use of manual therapy skills, exercise, movement science and some laughs. In her free time, Rashmi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, being outdoors, dancing and of course eating all types of food!
