Rebecca M Meehan PT WCS PYT
Embody Physiotherapy and Wellness, LLC
I am a graduate of Medical College of VA/ Virginia Commonwealth Univ Physical Therapy program. I earned my WCS (Women's Clinical Speciality) through the APTA and also have a Certification in Medical Therapeutic Yoga. I work with all genders and all ages who are experiencing difficulty with movement, pain, pelvic pressure, and incontinence (urinary, fecal, and flatulence). I believe that my patients and clients should be able to live life to the fullest, and try my best to add activities back in to life rather than telling them "don't". I enjoy working with people during pregnancy, helping them prepare for labor and delivery, and assisting them as they go through the postpartum stages of healing and stage. I work with many women with pelvic organ prolapse; I believe that POP should not be an impediment to lifting, running, and living life to the fullest. I also work with people with pain with intimacy as well as other forms of pelvic pain. I do work with chidren and their parents who are experiencing constipation, bedwetting, and daytime leaking. And, I work with men after prostatectomy or who are experiencing pelvic pain. I am fortunate to utilize Rehabilitative Ultrasound in my practice as an assessment, teaching, and biofeedback tool.
