Sami Turley recieved her bachelor’s in pre-professional physical therapy in 2009 and her doctorate in physical therapy in 2011 from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehab units, home health, pediatrics, neurological rehab, outpatient orthopaedics and pelvic health/women’s health. She gained an understanding of every phase of development and rehabilitation from the variety of settings she has worked in, and has been able to apply that to pelvic rehabilitation. She is passionate about re-creating the connection between the core and pelvic floor, especially after pregnancy, and enjoys the challenge of differential diagnosis. Specific diagnoses include: pelvic pain, hip pain, pelvic girdle pain (sacroiliac joint pain, pubic symphysis pain), pain during pregnancy, low back pain, incontinence, pain during or after intercourse, constipation related to pelvic floor dysfunction and bowel health, postpartum recovery for the pelvic floor and core (including diastasis recti), hip disorders and athletic injuries.
