Total Physical Therapy

I have been a healthcare professional for over 18 years and I have strived to serve my community throughout that time. After practicing dental hygiene in Florida for 13 years, I decided to return to school and obtain my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of South Florida. I believed a career in physical therapy would aid me in educating others on how to decrease their pain, help them become more functional and lead those searching for happier, healthier lives to their destination. While completing my undergrad for DPT school at Florida State University, I also obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which has helped me to connect with my patients and my work team at Total Physical Therapy. I chose to move to beautiful San Diego with the love of my life and start anew after graduating from DPT school. Since moving to SD, I have completed the Pelvic Floor Course (Part 1) on pelvic floor rehabilitation offered by Herman & Wallace to treat those underserved with pelvic pain, pelvic weakness and incontinence. I plan to become certified in pelvic floor rehabilitation once I complete 2000 hours of treating patients with pelvic health issues. Additionally, I am trained to treat patients diagnosed with vertigo (including BPPV), concussion, and patients with history of headaches. When I am not treating patients and friends I am running in downtown SD, hiking, trying to find the best Ethiopian food in southern CA and searching for new hot spots to dance with my partner that just so happens to always be the best dancer in the room.
