Shannon is a pelvic health and lymphedema physical therapist at Penn Therapy & Fitness in Philadelphia, PA. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) from Drexel University and completed her Residency in Women's Health from Good Shepherd Penn Partners. She also received her Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification from the Norton School and her Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). She specializes in a wide variety of pelvic health issues including pregnancy & post-partum, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, menopausal dysfunction, and bowel dysfunction. Shannon helped develop Penn Therapy & Fitness' program for LGBTQ+ health and works closely with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Gender and Sexuality Development Clinic, Penn Medicine's LGBT Health Program, and other Philadelphia-area physicians to meet the physical therapy needs of LGBTQ+ patients particularly related to gender affirming surgery. She also specializes in cancer-related therapy including lymphedema, cancer-related fatigue, gynecological cancer, scrotal edema, post-prostatectomy dysfunction, and her organization's Strength After Breast Cancer program. She is a member of the APTA's Academy of Pelvic Health and the Philadelphia Regional Pelvic Physical Therapy Alliance.
