Simon Olaoye, PT, DPT, Cert. DN Contrology Physical Therapy
Dr. Simon Oluwafemi Olaoye attended the University of Rhode Island for his undergraduate studies where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Bachelors of Arts in Biology in 2021. That same year, he was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for outstanding leadership and contribution to the University community. There, he developed an understanding of exercise science but only scratched the surface of exercise as medicine. Impassioned for more, Simon attended Tufts University and earned his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2023, starting on the track to become a pelvic health specialist. To Simon, a Nigerian born American man inextricably tied to the African American community, the lack of representation and advocacy was glaring in the pelvic health community. He not only developed a deeper understanding and passion for pelvic health but he also saw this as an opportunity for representation, outreach, and growth; a means by which to bridge the gap across multiple domains. Simon is a Pelvic Health Specialist working towards his Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) under Herman & Wallace, while actively seeing pelvic health patients. Additionally, Simon is certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Coming from a sports and dance background, Simon brings that same passion into the clinic working with a diverse population of dancers, athletes, post op, geriatric, pregnant, post-partum, any and all patient from different walks of life.
